David McGinley recently joined the law firm of Kupets & DeCaro, P.C., where he handles a variety of personal injury cases.

David received his law degree from Loyola University of Chicago and earned his Bachelor of Arts from Wabash College in Indiana. In 2005, David was admitted to the Illinois State Bar and the Illinois Federal Bar.

At Loyola, David was the chief justice for Loyola's Moot Court Program. As chief justice, David developed and managed the Honors Appellate Advocacy curriculum for fifty students by organizing and conducting brief-writing workshops and oral advocacy skills lessons.

Since graduating from Loyola, David remains active in the moot court program as a coach for the National Health Law competition and guest judge for Loyola's Intraschool Moot Court Competition.

For a young attorney, David McGinley brings courtroom experience from his work as a law clerk for the City of Chicago Law Department having defended the City of Chicago in numerous proceedings. David has also written and argued dispositive motions and post-hearing motions at the stat trial level. Most notably, David successfully briefed and argued in support of a judgment entered by Chicago's Commission on Human Relations awarding its highest monetary award in favor of a tenant who was sexually discriminated against. In addition to clerking for the City of Chicago, David was a law clerk for Anesi, Ozmon, Rodin, Novak and Kohen, a plaintiff firm specializing in construction negligence. There, David successfully wrote the appellant brief for the Third Circuit case, Moorehead v. Mustang Construction.

David is active in many local and national bar associations, including the Young Lawyers' Section of the Chicago Bar Association, Illinois Bar Association, and Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.
