Work-Related Injuries
In almost all employment circumstances, Illinois employees are protected by law for injuries that occur while on the job. The Illinois Worker’s Compensation Act provides benefits to injured workers for medical expenses, partial wages, and disability for a particular injury. Unlike civil cases, the Act does not allow recovery for pain and suffering. There are certain requirements in order to file a worker’s compensation claim, such as notification of the injury to the employer.

In addition to a claim against the employer, some work-related injuries permit actions against other persons or entities where some other person or entity may have contributed to the worker’s injury.
The Chicago attorneys at Kupets & DeCaro, P.C. are committed in making sure that all injured persons received their full compensation.
